The National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) is a government agency in Bangladesh established to strengthen the country’s skills ecosystem and build a competitive, skilled workforce aligned with both national needs and global labor market demands. It operates under the Prime Minister’s Office and plays a leading role in formulating policies, coordinating skills development initiatives, and enhancing workforce capabilities throughout the country.  Background and Purpose The NSDA was formed on 16 January 2019 under the National Skills Development Authority Act-2018 to replace the earlier National Skills Development Council.
